Topiary courses
Using the skills of James Crebbin-Bailey we are delighted to offer Topiary courses at Missenden Abbey, suitable for all levels of expertise.
James is a specialist in Sculptural Topiary, creating new and innovative shapes, as well as classical or traditional Topiary designs. James has been featured in many classical exhibits – RHS Chelsea, Hampton Court, Wisley and London, winning several awards. His topiary and tuition are featured in several books as well as on TV – enjoy a day with James’s expert guidance and tuition on how to cut Topiary, ‘step by step’.
Programme to include:
- History of Topiary
- Practical demonstration on techniques of cutting
- Inspiration of Topiary in garden settings from embryo plans to finished topiary
- Tips on care and maintenance
- Hands on workshop and your own plant to take away
- 3pm arrival for Afternoon Tea and check into your bedroom
- 5pm Welcome Talk
- 6pm Welcome Drink with James Crebbin-Bailey followed by Dinner
- 7.45pm Evening Quiz and get to know each other
- Accommodation and full English Breakfast
- Lunch, depart after Tea
