Experiential Learning with Missenden Abbey Development (MAD) - the key to a memorable meeting.

Based on David Kolb’s highly influential book of the same name, Experiential Learning works on the principle that experience is the ultimate source of learning.

Indoor Activities

Do you need an icebreaker before a big meeting? Or perhaps you’re looking for some stimulating entertainment before or after dinner?

Co-operate games, puzzles and team activities are proven tools to help teams and individuals work together more effectively. They’re also great fun!

We offer a choice of 3 games:

Team Write

The aim is to co-operate by manoeuvring a pen attached to 8 pieces of cord. Team players have to listen and work to together in order to draw an object. The learning points are that it takes planning, leadership trust and teamwork to achieve the task.

Team Build

Each member is given a mosaic board with a limited number of incorrect pieces to complete the picture. Although initially working independently the aim is for all the team members to construct the shapes gaining the extra pieces from fellow players. Patience, negotiation and teamwork are required to complete the pictures.

Bomb

The aim is for the team to deactivate the bomb with limited resources, strict constraints and against the clock. Team players need to have a vivid imagination, be calm under pressure and listen to your other team members.

Each game can accommodate up to 8 delegates.
